Happy Tuesday! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty awesome. On Sunday, DH and I went over to another couple's house and got to experience Rock Band for the first time. What a blast! It was a really fun night.
In addition to rocking out this weekend, I managed to get my card done early for Tracy's Sketch Challenge #31. Her challenge actually fit my card-making mood perfectly, since I've been all about the small circles lately. There was this card, today's card, and I have a couple more to show you this week that I did.
Here's the sketch:
and here's my card:
I did adapt the sketch a little to include space at the bottom for my sentiment, but the main panel is the same so I figured it would work.
This was my first time inking up this little trophy, and I just love it. What a cute image! I stamped it with brown Memento ink, and colored it with Copics (Yellowish Beige, Cobalt Blue and Sand, I think). I punched the circles out, then adhered them to the blue cardstock. I used a Memory Box stamp (Stars) on the card base with a Citrus Color Box chalk ink, and then attached the blue panel using pop dots. I cut a slit in the fold, threaded some ribbon through and attached it to the sentiment.
I'm really happy with how it turned out.
