Well, it's a new year, and it's put me in a creative slump. Today is January 23rd, and I've only made five cards for the new year! Guess I better get moving, eh?
This first card came to me as I was creating my inspiration station. I made up an area of my craft room with all of my Valentine-related images and supplies. It's great! I'm looking forward to doing this more often, so I can see everything I have for a given category and use it! The truffle stamp is by Amuse, and the "sweet" sentiment is part of the Stampin' Up set So Very. It was my first time inking that "sweet" sentiment, although I think it'd be great for thank you notes.
This next card was a birthday card. My mother-in-law celebrated her (ahem!) 45th birthday or so, and as her birthday activity, we went wine tasting in the Alexander Valley. We ended up hitting eight wineries in one day--crazy! I thought it would be appropriate to make her a wine and cupcake card as a result. They are all from an Amuse clear set. The last three cards are all using new Stampendous clear stamps. Sadly, there isn't an Amuse store for 50 miles, so when I need a quick stampin' fix, I usually end up with Stampendous stamps because my local Beverly's carries them. These ones particularly captivated me, and I ended up doing a whole series, with more ideas swimming around in my head.
It was really fun trying to come up with different ways to use the same images and paper. I think I'm going to have to try that again soon. ttyl!
