VMAA-Bonus!

Here's my bonus challenge entry, about what I do on weekends. Most weekends, I'm cruising around town in my yellow VW Beetle running errands, so this card is totally me. Thanks AmuseAddicts, for the chance to play!

VMAA Challenge #4

Well, they definitely saved the hardest for last on AmuseAddicts. The challenge was to do a card all black and white. Now, I've seen other people try and do this challenge, and I've always been horrified. To me, colors are key to a good card. But, a challenge is a challenge, so I tried.

It's not my best work, but it got the job done. I think out of the four cards I made tonight, this one is the most likely to suffer a re-working in the future. The sentiment isn't straight enough for my liking, and Spot is falling off the side. (sigh) Check my blog next week to see how I attempt to resuscitate this card base!

VMAA Entry #3

Here's a pop quiz for you: What do you do when you're in the middle of a challenge that requires straight paper strips and you can't find your paper cutter?

Answer: You go old-school! Yup, I was so desperate that I actually pulled out my scrapbook straight edge. It's not the best for cutting straight lines (my card is actually a tad bit crooked), but it got the job done. Phew!

VMAA Entry #2

Real glitter in under 30 minutes? Now that's just cruel. However, I managed to get it done (thanks to my Quickie Glue pen). Now I'm off to try and dig the glitter out of my kitchen tablecloth. . .

And proof that the glitter's real (see wayward specks in the upper right corner):

VMAA Entry #1

Well, this is my first time playing in a VMAA challenge, and I have to say. . .it's so much harder than it looks! You've gotta figure out what you're gonna do, then get the supplies together and do it! Craziness! Anyway, here's my first entry. I can't believe there's three more!

What an Honor!

Back in February, a TON of people from Amuse Addicts sent me birthday cards. It was a total treat check my mail the week of my birthday and find one beautiful creation after another. I made a point to try and send everyone back a thank you note, which you can see here. Anyway, one of the girls that I sent a card to actually CASEd part of my thank you note! Who knew that there were other people out there as "dotty" as I! What an honor! Click here to see her card! How cute!

Getting Caught Up

Hey there! I know it's been a while, but I'm back. Here are some cards I've been working on:

Cupcake cards! I recently purchased the Hero Arts clear cupcake set, and I can't seem to stop using it. I love love love it! I was inspired by Lisa Spangler's series called "Better Know a Cupcake." You can see her work here.

Then, I got into the Easter spirit with my very most favorite egg stamp:

I also made up some favors for co-workers and friends based on this template by Linda of Amuse:

They flip open to reveal a single Lifesaver mint.

Lastly and most recently, I've been doing more strawberry cards. Here's one:

Off to create more!
